![]() Interestingly, Hammerfell has been rumoured to be the game’s setting since as early as 2018. ![]() Meanwhile, SKULLZI also mentions that The Elder Scrolls 6 is set in Hammerfell. In January of last year, director Todd Howard said that the game was still in the “design phase” at the time, while earlier this year, it was reported that it was possibly still in pre-production.īased on this new information, however, The Elder Scrolls 6 is currently targeting a launch in either 2025 or 2026- though of course, these are the kind of plans that can always change in the games industry, especially when they’re so far off in the future. Known Bethesda insider SKULLZI recently took to Twitter to drop new details on The Elder Scrolls 6 that they’ve apparently heard from “a credible anonymous source”, and apparently, the open world RPG has now entered full development- though it’s still apparently in the early stages, which isn’t surprising. Now, however, we might have an idea of how many years. Right now, Bethesda Game Studios is, of course, fully focused on Starfield, which means that The Elder Scrolls 6 is at least several years away. We visited them again in The Elder Scrolls Online - most of Tamriel has been charted there, after all - and it certainly looks similar to what the teaser showed us.Bethesda first announced The Elder Scrolls 6 back in 2018, but even back then, it was abundantly clear that the game was a long, long way off from releasing. High Rock is home to the Bretons and the Orcs, while Hammerfell is where the Redguards lay their heads at night. These are two spots that we visited in Daggerfall, albeit they were randomly generated and lacking in detail. However, again, there's not much in the teaser that points to Elsweyr. There are a whole host of different Khajiit breeds and a unique culture that would be incredibly distinct for an RPG in the modern-day, much as Morrowind was in the early 2000s. ![]() Home to the Khajiit, Elsweyr is a desert filled with temples where worship to the two moons is held. However, it could be misdirection - we could even be visiting more than one province - so it's impossible to rule it out entirely right now. We've seen a lot of Valenwood in The Elder Scrolls Online where it's dominated by swamps and forests, completely juxtaposing what the teaser showed us. Nothing official has launched aside from the mobile game Blades and the now-defunct card game Legends, but there's still information out there to pry from the seams. Meanwhile, fans are chugging away to remake Oblivion and Morrowind while another dedicated team brought Daggerfall to the Unity engine. In the interim, we've had The Elder Scrolls Online launch, rebranded, and updated with a slew of DLC making almost all of Tamriel explorable. In eight years time, Skyrim will be old enough to drink while The Elder Scrolls 6will still be stuck in limbo, its existence disputed by patient fans - does it really exist? Well, conceptually, yes, but it's still in the design phase so we've got a long way to go before playing it. ![]() Is Elder Scrolls 6 Going To Be Xbox Exclusive?. ![]() The Elder Scrolls 6 Release Date - Unknown. ![]()
